What We Do
We offer free, confidential and independent advice and information to support carers.
Many carers find that talking to others who are also caring can really make a difference!
We can put you in contact with carers support groups in your area. We can also assist you to arrange the help you need to attend meetings, eg: transport.
Did you know that...
- One household in every five has someone who needs care.
- The Government has recognised the important contribution carers make and has given them certain rights under the Carers Recognition and Services Act 1995
- As a carer you are entitled to an assessment of your needs by Social Services. You have the right whether or not the person you care for accepts an assessment of their needs.
